Film review- (Mad Max Fury Road)

Fig 1 Mad Max (2015)

Mad Max is an intense, car chase film, with fighting and a lot of groaning from what we think is the main protagonist. Its hard to understand the film and needs to be watched more than once to understand the plot a bit better. If yo haven't watched the trilogy of Mad Max then maybe watch them first as it might help get a small picture of the premise of what Max is about and his back story. this film should have just started from the beginning again a have a film on his back story  and how he became who he is today. this would maybe have worked better than an after of a old classic. the film goes on for a very long time and could have been shortened and still had all the essentials in it. There are obstacles in the road ahead. putting the pedel to the metal for 90 minutes is one thing, but carrying it on for two hours is more than a slog. (Kermode, 2015)

The film starts of with Max being kidnapped and transformed into a literal blood bag for feral warriors, who serve the whims of maniacal ruler, immortan Joe. it also follow a woman called Imperator Furiosa who rescues  immortan Joes wives as she tries to travel back to where she was born. this film feels like a chase film where they escaped and get followed. The visual effects are good and over the top which give this film a purpose to watch it. but the story is weak and needs to be about Max more not the others that are in it. This film is mainly about Furiosa not about the main protagonist and it takes away from the trilogy of what Mad Max is about.
The music is rocking as it very metal base, which represents the metal of the cars and the way it looks grungy and beaten. the music suits the mood of the film. the storytelling could do with improvements.  Apiece of storytelling that feels like its from an old fashion western B-movie. this is a story of a chase in the first half, then the second they are rushing in the opposite direction going back to where they just was in the fist half. (Macnab,2015)
