5 reasons why kill Bill is post-modern

1. Kill Bill can be considered post-modern because of the amount of intertextual references, that also includes different genres, such as Japanese cinema, horror and action

2. The second is the way the film uses anime in parts of the film. This could be considered post-modern as it is not a convention that is used very frequently.

3. The fight before the main characters fight between her enemy. There is a post-modern part in which the main role has to fight a vast amount of people. This is considered to be post-modern as it is hyper-real.

4. Another post-modern part in Kill Bill is within all the violence and gore. The director attempts humour as some fights scene are over dramatic and funny.

5. The film itself shows a lot of different themes and subject matter. It displays an array of different styles. When it comes to post-modernist film, Quentin Tarantino is definitely a film maker.
