I wanted to improve on how the characters looked. I wanted them to be more bad looking. I still need to design the other pirate and do different angles.
I like the exaggeration of shapes getting started in these - you're continuing to grow in confidence and that's exciting. I think some tattoos wouldn't go a miss on those great big arms - and maybe a bit of stubble etc? I think you need to look at the proportions of the big pirate a bit as there's something not quite right about the relationship of his legs, waist and upper body? I look forward to seeing you work this stuff out a bit more as you 'turn them' and get a better sense of how they operate as 3D shapes. Onwards!
