  2. Hey Jess - Jackie's right - you need to act upon the feedback you're given in regards to improving your academic writing. Here's some links to some really good examples of 'academic' reviews, which use evidence and illustrations effectively - and also a link to some 'Dos and Don'ts' in terms of developing your style further:

    I appreciate you're getting your head around this, but do act upon the feedback and apply it in your next review. These techniques are the same expected of you in terms of writing essays for Kath etc. It's just like brushes in Photoshop or tools in Maya, they're there for a reason, and while it might feel difficult or strange to use them to begin with, it does get easier and soon it will be normal for you.
